Ombudsman releases a new publication - Defining Fairness

The Office of the Ombudsman has published a handbook (click here) entitled Defining Fairness. 

This publication is intended to assist City of Toronto public servants understand their rights and responsibilities as they relate to fairness.  It is also intended to create a shared understanding of how the Ombudsman views fairness and conducts business so that we can work effectively together when addressing complaints.

Defining Fairness sets out a framework for fairness and tools that will advance fairness and promote its incorporation into all decision-making and treatment of Toronto residents and citizens as a standard of best practice.
